Banksy Interview from 1995

The street artists Banksy has risen to international fame over the past decade or so but has been able to maintain his anonymity throughout. That is why the most recent video that surfaced a few days ago from a VHS tape of a BBC interview of a 1995 documentary featuring an interview with Banksy is such a big deal. It gives a little closer look into the early work and philosophy of the artist and a more intimate glimpse of the person behind the paint cans. You can even hear his actual voice in this video, which he usually disguises in recording to remain anonymous.

Banksy is know for his witty, politically charged, and somewhat dark art executed with a distinctive graffiti stencil style. His work knows no international boundaries showing up all around the world. Banksy is also a political activist and film director.
